Dometic has recalled nearly 1,000,000 of its refrigerators
This is a warning of a possible coolant leak in an area that could pose a fire hazard.
The Dometic Corp. is recalling 926,877 faulty refrigerators. These refrigerators were manufactured between April 1997 and May 2003. NHTSA RECALL NO. 06E076000.
Models affected are as follows: NDR1062 9999, RM2652 9999 RM2662 9999, RM2663 9999, RM2852 9999, RM2862 9999, RM3662 9999, RM3663 9999, RM3862 9999, RM3863 9999.
A fatigue crack may develop in the boiler tube, that could release coolant into an area where an ignition source is present (the flame).
