Trying to Find a New Camper

Slide Ins Are Hard To Find

We want to downsize for fast travel duting summer months

Well now I have a new problem. We are thinking of parking our 34’ fifth wheel and do our travels in a slide in camper ( that’s a camper that fits in the back of a pickup truck). Here is the way we see it. When we work we will travel and live in the fifth wheel. We will store the slide in at a home location yet to be known but probably in Fl. We want to work about 8 or 9 months out of the year and travel during the rest. It seems to us that we can cover a lot more ground with a slide in than a fifth wheel. This plan also allows for more boondocking camping at wal-marts and it’s much easier to fing parking in the west. It seems that a lot of campgrounds in the west are older and consequently the lots are smaller so our fiver doesn’t fit well.

The problem seems to be that all the good campers are on the wrong coast. No matter which coast we seem to be on the good deals are on the other coast. Biggest problem is that people don’t want to sell them they just leave them in the back yard to rot. RV lots don’t keep them because there is very little call for them. Another thing we notice is that people seem to think they are worth more than they really are. Another problem is the roof seems to leak on them. Well we will keep looking and if anyone knows of a camper let me know.
